On the night of Sept. 1, Typhoon Saola approached Shenzhen. Although it did not hit the city directly, Saola still brought a lot of inconvenience to people's work and life.
In response to the typhoon, the city's public transportation was halted at 7 p.m. The suspension left four Pakistani tourists stranded near the Meidu Community in Futian District. After receiving messages asking for help, the community staff members placed the tourists in a hotel to shelter from the typhoon.
